Cuidados en el hogar:

Se recomienda consultar a un odontólogo o a un ortodoncista para el tratamiento de la desalineación de los dientes y la mandíbula. Sin embargo, también se debe involucrar al médico de cabecera para buscar cualquier trastorno médico subyacente que pueda estar asociado con el prognatismo.

Se debe llamar al médico si:

  • Se presenta dificultad para hablar, morder o masticar relacionada con la alineación anormal de la mandíbula
  • Usted tiene preocupación acerca del alineamiento de la mandíbula

El médico llevará a cabo un examen físico y hará preguntas con relación a la historia clínica del paciente, como las siguientes:
