Aleteo nasal

Definición:

Es el ensanchamiento de la abertura de las fosas nasales durante la respiración.

Consideraciones generales:

El aleteo nasal se observa sobre todo en bebés y niños pequeños y a menudo indica que se requiere un mayor esfuerzo para respirar.

Cualquier afección por la que el bebé necesite hacer mayor esfuerzo para obtener aire puede causar aleteo nasal. Aunque muchas causas de esta dolencia no son graves, algunas pueden ser potencialmente mortales.
