Definición:

Es una sensación generalizada de molestia, enfermedad o falta de bienestar que puede estar asociada con una enfermedad y puede estar acompañado de una sensación de cansancio o de no tener energía suficiente para cumplir con las actividades habituales.

Consideraciones generales:

El malestar general es un síntoma inespecífico que se puede presentar con casi cualquier tipo de trastornos infecciosos, metabólicos ( endocrinos ) o sistémicos (en todo el cuerpo) significativos. Su comienzo puede ser lento o rápido, dependiendo de la naturaleza de la enfermedad.

La fatiga acompaña al malestar general en muchas enfermedades comunes.
