Definición:

Es la molestia que se presenta en el área donde termina el abdomen y comienzan las piernas. Este artículo se enfoca en el dolor inguinal en los hombres.

Consideraciones:

En los hombres, los términos "ingle" y "testículos" se utilizan algunas veces indistintamente, pero lo que causa dolor en una de estas áreas no necesariamente hará lo mismo en la otra.

Causas:

Las causas comunes de dolor inguinal en los hombres abarcan:

Inflamación de los ganglios linfáticos
Epididimitis (inflamación del epidídimo)
Hernia
Inflamación del intestino grueso y delgado
Cálculos renales
Tumor de las células de Leydig (tumor testicular)
Distensión muscular
Orquitis (inflamación de los testículos)
Infección cutánea superficial
Torsión testicular
Infección urinaria
