Tenesmo

Definición:

Es la sensación constante de necesidad de vaciar los intestinos, acompañada de dolor, cólicos y esfuerzos involuntarios.

Consideraciones generales:

El tenesmo suele estar asociado con enfermedades inflamatorias de los intestinos, las cuales pueden ser causadas ya sea por una infección o por otras afecciones, y se caracteriza por una sensación de necesidad de evacuar, acompañada de dolor, cólicos y esfuerzo. Sin embargo, a pesar del esfuerzo, la evacuación de heces es muy poca.
