Inflamación escrotal
Definición:
Es el agrandamiento anormal del escroto, el saco que rodea los testÃculos.

Consideraciones generales:
Los hombres de cualquier edad pueden sufrir de inflamaciones escrotales dolorosas o no. Esta condición puede producirse en uno o en ambos lados y los testÃculos y el pene pueden estar o no involucrados.
La torsión testicular es una emergencia grave en la que el testÃculo sufre una torsión dentro del escroto y pierde el suministro de sangre. Si la torsión no se corrige rápidamente, el testÃculo se puede perder definitivamente, por lo cual se requiere una evaluación inmediata.
