Dolor de pie

Definición:

El dolor o molestia se puede sentir en cualquier parte del pie, incluyendo el talón, el arco, el empeine, la planta, los tobillos o los dedos.

Causas:

Los zapatos que no ajusten bien pueden causar dolor en el pie. Los problemas pueden abarcar:

Juanetes: una protuberancia en la base del dedo gordo del pie que se puede inflamar. Los juanetes a menudo se desarrollan con el tiempo por el uso de zapatos estrechos.
Callosidades y callos: engrosamiento de la piel debido a la fricción o a la presión. Las callosidades se forman en la región metatarsiana de los pies o en el talón y los callos aparecen en la parte de arriba de los dedos.
Dedos en martillo: dedos que se curvan hacia abajo en forma de garra.
Arcos caídos: también llamado pies planos.
Verrugas plantares: úlceras en las plantas de los pies debido a la presión.

Otras causas comunes de dolor en el pie son:

Artritis.
Espolón óseo.
Fracturas óseas.
Bursitis del talón.
Gota, común en el dedo gordo que se vuelve rojo, hinchado y muy sensible.
Neuroma de Morton, un engrosamiento del tejido nervioso entre los dedos del pie.
Fascitis plantar.
Esguinces.
Fractura por sobrecarga.
Tendinitis.

Asimismo, el envejecimiento y el sobrepeso también incrementan las posibilidades de padecer problemas en el pie.
