Cuidados en el hogar:

Se recomienda un programa de ejercicios (bajo la orientación de un terapeuta o un médico) para ayudar a tratar la atrofia muscular. Esto puede incluir ejercicios en el agua para reducir la carga de trabajo del músculo y otros tipos de rehabilitación.

Las personas que no pueden mover de forma activa una o más articulaciones pueden hacer ejercicios usando dispositivos ortopédicos o férulas (tablillas).
