Ausencia de sudoración

Definición:

Una falta anormal de sudor en respuesta al calor puede ser dañina, debido a que la sudoración le permite al cuerpo liberar calor. El término médico para la ausencia de sudoración es anhidrosis.

Consideraciones generales:

Algunas veces, la anhidrosis pasa inadvertida hasta cuando se detecta que una cantidad considerable de calor o de esfuerzo no provoca sudoración.

La ausencia total de sudoración puede ser potencialmente mortal, ya que el cuerpo se recalienta; sin embargo, si la ausencia de sudoración sucede sólo en un área pequeña, usualmente no es tan peligrosa.
