Palidez - Treatment

Cuándo contactar a un profesional médico:

Llame al médico o al número de emergencias si una persona presenta súbitamente palidez generalizada. De ser necesario, se deben hacer intervenciones de emergencia con el propósito de mantener una circulación apropiada.

Igualmente, llame al médico si la palidez está acompañada de dificultad respiratoria, sangre en las heces u otros síntomas inexplicables.

Lo que se puede esperar en el consultorio médico:

El médico lo examinará y le hará preguntas acerca de su historia clínica y los síntomas, como:

  • ¿Se presentó la palidez súbitamente?
  • ¿Se presentó en respuesta a los recuerdos de un evento traumático?
  • ¿Afecta a todo el cuerpo o sólo una parte de éste? Si es así, ¿Cuál?
  • ¿Qué otros síntomas se presentan? Por ejemplo, ¿Siente dolor, presenta dificultad respiratoria, sangre en las heces o está vomitando sangre?
  • ¿Tiene palidez en un brazo, una mano, una pierna o un pie y no puede sentir el pulso en el área?
