Resequedad de la piel
Definición:
La resequedad en la piel se presenta más comúnmente en las piernas, los brazos, los flancos (lados del abdomen) y los muslos. Los sÃntomas que están asociados con más frecuencia a este problema son, entre otros:
- Descamación
- Prurito
- Fisuras en la piel

Piel seca; Prurito de invierno
Causas comunes:
La resequedad en la piel es un sÃntoma muy común, especialmente en las personas de edad avanzada. Esta condición se presenta con mayor frecuencia en el invierno cuando el aire frÃo del exterior y el aire caliente del interior pueden provocar baja humedad. El uso de calentadores con aire a presión aumenta la probabilidad de que se presente resequedad en la piel.
La piel pierde humedad y puede agrietarse, exfoliarse, irritarse o inflamarse. Además, los baños frecuentes, especialmente con jabones fuertes, pueden contribuir a la resequedad de la piel.
Un eccema puede causar también resequedad en la piel.
