Cuidados en el hogar:

No es necesario verificar el reflejo de Moro en casa. El médico lo verificará durante una consulta.

Se debe llamar al médico si:

La persona debe consultar con el médico si piensa que su bebé puede tener la clavícula fracturada o una lesión en los nervios que corren desde la parte inferior del cuello y área superior del hombro (lesión del plexo braquial), los cuales pueden ocasionar la pérdida del reflejo de Moro en un lado.

Lo que se puede esperar en el consultorio médico:

El médico generalmente es quien descubre un reflejo de Moro anormal. Él llevará a cabo un examen físico y hará preguntas acerca de la historia clínica del niño, las cuales pueden abarcar:

  • Antecedentes del trabajo de parto y del nacimiento
  • Antecedentes familiares detallados
  • Otros síntomas

Si el reflejo está ausente o es anormal, es posible que sea necesario realizar pruebas adicionales para examinar los nervios y músculos del niño.
