Prominencia frontal
Definición:
Es una protuberancia de la frente, algunas veces asociada con un puente frontal más pronunciado de lo normal.
Consideraciones generales:
La prominencia de la frente se ve solamente en unos cuantos sÃndromes poco comunes y es probable que la gente reconozca esta condición en los casos de acromegalia , debido a que los gigantes acromegálicos que son extremadamente grandes y altos se ven frecuentemente en las pelÃculas.
Causas comunes:
- SÃfilis congénita
- Acromegalia
- SÃndrome de Russell-Silver (enano Russell-Silver)
- SÃndrome de Pfeiffer
- SÃndrome del nevo de las células basales
- SÃndrome de Crouzon
- SÃndrome de Hurler
