Endoscopia - Risks

Riesgos:

  • Sangrado.
  • Infección.
  • Dolor.
  • Perforación (ruptura) de la pared del tejido durante una endoscopia.

Se pueden presentar reacciones a la sedación, aunque es poco común. Por esta razón, se vigilará la respiración, la presión arterial, la frecuencia cardíaca y el nivel de oxígeno durante el procedimiento.

Consideraciones:

Las endoscopias también se pueden utilizar para tratar ciertas enfermedades o afecciones. Por ejemplo, se puede extirpar tumores y detener el sangrado de lesiones.
