Cuáles son los riesgos:

El nivel de radiación es bajo y casi no existe riesgo alguno a causa de la mamografía. Si la paciente se encuentra embarazada y necesita que le evalúen alguna anomalía, se protege el área abdominal con un delantal de plomo.

Consideraciones especiales:

La mamografía es importante porque permite, en algunos casos, detectar cánceres antes de que éstos puedan percibirse mediante la palpación.
