La córnea puede sufrir un rasguño temporal en la superficie a causa del electrodo. Aparte de esto, no existe ningún riesgo con este procedimiento.

Consideraciones especiales:

No se debe sobar los ojos durante una hora después del examen, ya que esto podría lesionar la córnea. El médico hablará con usted acerca de los resultados del examen y lo que significan en su caso.
