Consideraciones especiales:

Algunas de las drogas que provocan un aumento en los niveles de GGT son el alcohol, la fenitoína y el fenobarbital.

Las drogas que pueden ocasionar una disminución en los niveles de GGT incluyen el clofibrato y los anticonceptivos orales (píldoras para el control natal).

El tamaño de las venas y de las arterias varía de un paciente a otro y de una parte del cuerpo a otra, razón por la cual es más difícil obtener una muestra de sangre en unas personas que en otras.
