Valores normales:

  • LDL: 60 a 130 mg/dL
  • HDL: superior a 40 mg/dL
  • Colesterol total: menos de 200 mg/dL
  • Triglicéridos: 10 a 150 mg/dL
  • VLDL: 2 a 38 mg/dL

Nota: mg/dL = miligramos por decilitro.

Los valores ideales para pacientes con arteriopatía coronaria conocida son diferentes de aquellos que no padecen enfermedad coronaria. Los valores altos de HDL (60 o más) son protectores y por lo tanto deseables.
