Valores normales:

Un resultado normal significa que el HLA-B27 está ausente.

Sin embargo, el HLA-B27 se encuentra en el 5 al 7% de las personas de raza blanca que no presentan una enfermedad autoinmunitaria.

Significado de los resultados anormales:

Un examen positivo significa que el HLA-B27 está presente y sugiere un riesgo mayor al promedio para el desarrollo de:

  • Espondilitis anquilosante
  • Síndrome de Reiter
  • Sacroileítis (inflamación de la articulación sacroilíaca)
