Los factores que interfieren son, entre otros:
- Estrés emocional severo
- Ejercicio vigoroso
- Uso de medios de contraste radiopacos dentro de los 3 dÃas posteriores al examen de orina
- Orina contaminada con secreciones vaginales
Las drogas que pueden incrementar las mediciones son, entre otras: etazolamida, aminoglicósidos, amfotericina B, cefalosporinas, colistina, griseofulvina, litio, meticilina, nafcilina, medicamentos nefrotóxicos (tales como arsenicales, sales de oro), oxacilina, penicilamina, penicilina G, fenazopiridina, polimixina B, salicilatos, sulfonamidas, tolbutamida y viomicina.
