Valores normales:

Normalmente, la mayor parte de la proteína permanece en el cuerpo y poco o ninguna proteína aparece en la orina. En general, un valor normal es menos de 43 miligramos diarios de albúmina en la orina.

Los rangos de los valores normales pueden variar ligeramente entre diferentes laboratorios. La persona debe hablar con el médico acerca del significado de los resultados específicos de su examen.

Significado de los resultados anormales:

Si se detecta albúmina en la orina, esto puede indicar un problema con la función renal. El aumento en los niveles puede ocurrir con:

  • Ciertos trastornos inmunitarios
  • Diabetes
  • Hipertensión arterial
  • Algunos problemas de lípidos

Se harán exámenes adicionales para determinar la gravedad del problema.
