Consideraciones especiales:

Entre los medicamentos que pueden aumentar las mediciones de A5-HIA se encuentran la acetanilida, fenacetina, guayacolato de glicerilo (presente en muchos jarabes para la tos), metocarbamol y reserpina.

Entre los medicamentos que pueden disminuir las mediciones de A5-HIA se encuentran la clorpromazina, heparina, imipramina, isoniazida, levodopa, inhibidores de la monoaminooxidasa, metenamina, metildopa, fenotiazina, prometazina y antidepresivos tricテュclicos.

Entre los alimentos que pueden interferir con las mediciones de A5-HIA se encuentran las ciruelas, piテアas, plテ。tanos o bananos, berenjenas, tomates, aguacates y nueces del nogal. Estos alimentos no deben ingerirse durante los tres dテュas previos al examen.
