Valores normales:

Los niveles de glucosa deben estar entre 50 y 80 mg/100 mL. Dichos niveles pueden variar ligeramente dependiendo de la cantidad de glucosa en la sangre, sin embargo, el nivel de glucosa en el LCR debe estar más o menos en 2/3 del nivel en la sangre.
