Cu谩les son los riesgos:

La toma de una muestra de sangre implica muy poco riesgo. Las venas y las arterias var铆an en tama帽o de un paciente a otro y de un lado del cuerpo a otro; por esta raz贸n, puede ser m谩s dif铆cil obtener una muestra de sangre de algunas personas que de otras.

Otros riesgos asociados con la extracci贸n de sangre son leves, pero pueden ser:

  • Sangrado excesivo
  • Desmayo o sensaci贸n de mareo
  • Hematoma (acumulaci贸n de sangre debajo de la piel)
  • Infecci贸n (un riesgo leve cada vez que se presenta ruptura de la piel)

Consideraciones especiales:

Los gl贸bulos rojos transportan la hemoglobina, la cual, a su vez, lleva el ox铆geno. La cantidad de ox铆geno que reciben los tejidos corporales depende de la cantidad y la funci贸n de los gl贸bulos rojos y de la hemoglobina.

Los gl贸bulos blancos son mediadores de la inflamaci贸n y de la respuesta inmunitaria y existen diversos tipos de ellos que aparecen normalmente en la sangre:

  • Neutr贸filos (leucocitos polimorfonucleares)
  • C茅lulas en banda (neutr贸filos ligeramente inmaduros)
  • Linfocitos Tipo T (c茅lulas T)
  • Linfocitos Tipo B (c茅lulas B)
  • Monocitos
  • Eosin贸filos
  • Bas贸filos
