Los riesgos asociados con la extracción de sangre son leves:

  • Sangrado excesivo
  • Desmayo o sensación de mareo
  • Sangre que se acumula bajo la piel (hematoma)
  • Infección
  • Muchas punciones con agujas para encontrar las venas

Consideraciones especiales:

Un examen negativo no descarta la HPN. Los resultados falsos negativos se pueden presentar si la parte líquida de la sangre (suero) carece de complemento.
