Análisis del factor de Hageman

Definición:

Es un examen de sangre para medir la actividad del factor XII, una de las sustancias involucradas en la coagulación de la sangre.

Forma en que se realiza el examen:

Preparación para el examen:

Los adultos no requieren ninguna preparación especial para este examen.

Lo que se siente durante el examen:

Cuando se inserta la aguja para extraer la sangre, algunas personas sienten un dolor moderado, mientras que otras sólo sienten un pinchazo o sensación de picadura. Posteriormente, puede haber algo de sensación pulsátil.

Razones por las que se realiza el examen:

El médico puede ordenar este examen si usted obtuvo resultados anormales en la prueba de coagulación del tiempo parcial de tromboplastina (TPT) o si a uno de los parientes consanguíneos le diagnosticaron deficiencia del factor XII.
