Los resultados son normales cuando no se encuentra ningunos organismos en la prueba de la mancha de gram.

Significado de los resultados anormales:

Si hay presencia de bacterias, es posible que la persona tenga una infección del pericardio o del corazón. Con exámenes adicionales, como un cultivo bacteriano, se puede identificar el organismo causante de la infección. Algunas veces, los exámenes de sangre pueden ayudar con el diagnóstico.
