Prueba rápida para estreptococos
Es un examen para detectar estreptococos del grupo A, la causa más común de faringitis estreptocócica.
El examen requiere una muestra o exudado faríngeo y toma alrededor de 7 minutos. El exudado se evalúa para identificar estreptococos del grupo A.
No hay una preparación especial. Infórmele al médico si está o ha tomado recientemente antibióticos.
Le cepillan la garganta en el área de las amígdalas, lo cual puede hacer que usted sienta náuseas.
El médico puede ordenar este examen si usted tiene signos de amigdalitis estreptocócica o si tiene síntomas de faringitis (irritación de la garganta).
