Cuáles son los riesgos:

Existe un ligero riesgo de perforación (orificio) en la uretra o la vejiga por la sonda y riesgo de infección.

Consideraciones especiales:

En raras ocasiones, se realiza un aspirado suprapúbico si no se puede obtener la muestra por otros métodos. En este método, se inserta una aguja a través de la piel de la parte baja del abdomen para extraer la orina.
