No hay presencia de bacterias anormales. Se debe tener en cuenta que normalmente el cuello uterino tiene bacterias "amigables" que se logran ver por medio de una tinción de Gram.

  • Vaginosis bacteriana
  • Clamidia
  • Gonorrea
  • Infección por levaduras

Este examen también se puede llevar a cabo para la artritis gonocócica con el fin de determinar el sitio de la infección inicial
