Los resultados anormales indican que hay una disminución de la(s) función(es) renal(es), lo cual puede ocurrir en presencia de insuficiencia renal crónica o aguda, como complicación de un transplante renal (tanto complicaciones quirúrgicas como rechazo al transplante), glomerulonefritis u otros trastornos renales.
