Puede haber una reacción al medio de contraste
Hay algo de riesgo de que el catéter puede dañar la arteria o desprender una partícula de la pared arterial, que puede obstruir el flujo sanguíneo y causar un accidente cerebrovascular; sin embargo, esto es poco común.
Un coágulo o sangrado en el lugar de la punción puede provocar una obstrucción parcial del flujo de sangre a la pierna.
