Riesgos:

Hay una exposición baja a la radiación. Los rayos X se monitorean y regulan para generar la mínima cantidad de exposición a la radiación necesaria para producir la imagen. La mayoría de los expertos consideran que el riesgo es mínimo comparado con los beneficios que se obtienen. Las mujeres embarazadas y los niños son más sensibles a los riesgos asociados con los rayos X.

Consideraciones:

Se pueden utilizar otros exámenes, como resonancia magnética, para buscar problemas en discos o nervios.
