Riesgos:

Hay una exposición baja a la radiación. Los equipos de rayos X se controlan y se regulan para generar la mínima cantidad de exposición a la radiación necesaria para producir la imagen. La mayoría de los expertos consideran que el riesgo es mínimo comparado con los beneficios que se obtienen. Las mujeres en embarazo y los niños son más sensibles a los riesgos asociados con los rayos X.

Consideraciones:

Los rayos X no detectan problemas en los músculos, los nervios y otros tejidos blandos, debido a que no se pueden visualizar bien en una radiografía.
