Tinción del ojo con fluoresceína - Resultados

Valores normales:

Si el resultado del examen es normal, el tinte o colorante permanece en la película lagrimal sobre la superficie del ojo y no se adhiere al ojo en sí.

Significado de los resultados anormales:

  • Abrasión corneal (un rasguño o rayón en la superficie de la córnea)
  • Infección
  • Lesión o traumatismo
  • Cuerpos extraños (como pestañas o polvo) (ver cuerpo extraño en el ojo)
  • Producción anormal de lágrimas (resequedad del ojo)
  • Resequedad ocular seria asociada con artritis (queratoconjuntivitis seca)
