Cuáles Son Los Riesgos:

Existe una leve probabilidad de infección siempre que se presenta ruptura de la piel. En muy pocos casos, una persona es hipersensible al medio de contraste y puede experimentar:

  • Mareo o desmayo
  • Resequedad en la boca o aumento de la salivación
  • Urticaria
  • Aumento de la frecuencia cardíaca
  • Sabor metálico en la boca
  • Náuseas y vómitos
  • Estornudos

Las reacciones alérgicas serias son poco comunes.

La orina se verá más oscura y posiblemente de color naranja, por uno o dos días después del examen.

Consideraciones especiales:

Los resultados del examen en personas que tienen cataratas son menos precisos.
