Biopsia pleural cerrada; Biopsia de la pleura con aguja
Existe una ligera posibilidad de punción de la pared pulmonar con la aguja, lo cual puede colapsar parcialmente el pulmón. Esto generalmente mejora en forma espontánea. Igualmente, existe la posibilidad de que se presente pérdida excesiva de sangre.
Si una biopsia pleural cerrada no es suficiente para hacer un diagnóstico, es posible que se necesite una biopsia quirúrgica de la pleura.
