Fundoscopia
La retina, los vasos sanguíneos y el disco óptico deben tener una apariencia normal para el examinador.
El examen puede revelar enfermedades oculares, como opacidad vítrea, desprendimiento de retina, problemas del nervio óptico, degeneración macular y cambios causados por el glaucoma. También se pueden detectar hipertensión arterial y muchas enfermedades sistémicas.
