Colangiopancreatografía retrógrada endoscópica (CPRE)

Riesgos:

Existe una posibilidad de efectos secundarios producidos por el medio de contraste y el fármaco utilizado para relajar el duodeno. Estos son, entre otros: náuseas, urticaria, visión borrosa, boca seca, sensación de ardor o sofoco y retención de orina.

Los efectos secundarios de la anestesia empleada pueden conducir a problemas respiratorios y presión arterial baja, aunque estas complicaciones son poco comunes. Los riesgos del procedimiento se determinan por el tratamiento que se utilice.

Existe un riesgo de sangrado, perforación (orificio) del intestino y pancreatitis. El riesgo de tener cualquier complicación es menor al 10% y mucho más bajo de tener una complicación grave, como pancreatitis y sangrado intenso.
