Cuáles son los riesgos:

Existe un riesgo leve de sangrado del sitio de la biopsia. Si la biopsia se hace con aguja, se presenta una leve posibilidad de infección en el sitio de la punción. Igualmente, se recomienda remitirse a los riesgos de la CPRE, si la biopsia se toma a través de un endoscopio.

Consideraciones especiales:

Este examen se realiza después de que la historia clínica, la valoración por parte del médico u otros exámenes y procedimientos hayan indicado la presencia de masas o tumores anormales, signos de malignidad o signos de enfermedad.
