Valores normales:

No se presenta inflamación, los niveles hormonales aparecen normales y las células de la muestra de tejido son también normales.

Significado de los resultados anormales:

El examen confirma que una glándula paratiroides está agrandada si los niveles hormonales están demasiado altos o si las células de la muestra son anormales. Los niveles anormales de PTH también pueden deberse a hipercalciemia.
