Cuáles son los riesgos:

Existe algún riesgo de infección urinaria.

Igualmente, hay un ligero riesgo de sangrado excesivo o ruptura de la pared vesical con el cistoscopio o durante la biopsia.

Consideraciones especiales:

Es normal que salga una pequeña cantidad de sangre a través de la orina poco después del procedimiento. Si el sangrado continúa luego de orinar, consulte con el médico.

Póngase en contacto con el médico si:

  • Presenta dolor, escalofrío o fiebre
  • Orina menos de lo normal (oliguria)
  • Usted no puede orinar a pesar de una fuerte sensación de necesidad de hacerlo
