Cuáles son los riesgos:

Existe un ligero riesgo de sangrado excesivo cuando se toma una biopsia. Igualmente, hay algún riesgo de ruptura de la pared vesical por el cistoscopio o durante la biopsia.

Consideraciones especiales:

Usted debe asegurarse de tomar de 4 a 6 vasos de agua al día después de la cistoscopia.

Usted puede notar una pequeña cantidad de sangre presente con la orina después del procedimiento. Si el sangrado continúa luego de orinar tres veces, consulte con su médico.

Póngase en contacto con el médico si desarrolla alguno de estos signos de infección:

  • Escalofrío
  • Fiebre
  • Dolor
  • Disminución de la diuresis
