Cuáles son los riesgos:

Existe un leve riesgo de sangrado e infección y el área puede presentar dolor durante los siguientes 2 ó 3 días. El escroto se puede inflamar o decolorarse, pero esto se resuelve igualmente en unos pocos días después del procedimiento.

Consideraciones especiales:

El posible que el médico recomiende el uso de un suspensorio atlético durante varios días después de la biopsia, abstenerse de tener relaciones sexuales por una o dos semanas y mantener el área seca durante varios días después del procedimiento.

Se debe continuar evitando el uso de aspirina o medicamentos que contengan aspirina durante una semana después del procedimiento.
