Cuáles Son Los Riesgos:

Existe un leve riesgo de infección y de sangrado abundante. El procedimiento puede producir cicatrización cervical, lo que causa ocasionalmente períodos menstruales dolorosos o hace más difícil la evaluación de una citología o prueba de Papanicolaou anómala. Además, esta cicatrización también puede hacer más difícil que una mujer quede en embarazo. La conización quirúrgica puede estar asociada con insuficiencia cervicouterina, una afección que puede provocar un parto prematuro.
