Riesgos:

El procedimiento es muy seguro. Sin embargo, las luces centelleantes o la respiración rápida ( hiperventilación) requeridas durante el examen pueden desencadenar convulsiones en aquellas personas con trastornos convulsivos. El médico que lleva a cabo la electroencefalografía está capacitado para cuidar de uno si esto sucede.

Puede ser difícil quitar el pegante del cabello, pero éste debe salir después de unas cuantas lavadas con champú común.
