Apnea central del sue帽o - Tratamiento

Tratamiento:

Si la apnea central del sue帽o se debe a insuficiencia card铆aca, el objetivo en s铆 es tratar dicha insuficiencia y en el caso de apnea idiop谩tica o problemas del tallo cerebral, se puede utilizar PPCVR nasal para permitir la respiraci贸n.

Expectativas (pron贸stico):

En el caso de apnea idiop谩tica, el pron贸stico generalmente es favorable y para la insuficiencia card铆aca congestiva, un tratamiento agresivo del coraz贸n puede mejorar la perspectiva. Si la causa es una lesi贸n del tallo cerebral, el pron贸stico tiende a ser desalentador.

Complicaciones:

Las complicaciones pueden surgir a ra铆z de la prolongada ventilaci贸n mec谩nica y de la enfermedad subyacente que est谩 ocasionando el s铆ndrome.

Situaciones que requieren asistencia m茅dica:

Se debe buscar asistencia m茅dica si se presentan s铆ntomas que pudieran corresponder con la apnea del sue帽o. La apnea central del sue帽o se diagnostica usualmente en personas que ya presentan una condici贸n m茅dica severa.
