Prevención:

Si la persona fuma, debe suspender el consumo de cigarrillo. Así mismo, se debe tratar de evitar el tabaquismo pasivo. Igualmente, se recomienda consumir una dieta rica en frutas y verduras.

No se recomiendan las pruebas de detección de rutina para el cáncer pulmonar. Se han hecho muchos estudios para mirar la idea, pero los científicos han concluido que, en este momento, las pruebas de detección no ayudarían a mejorar las probabilidades de curación para una persona.
