Cuáles son los riesgos:

La prueba de DMO implica una exposición a un nivel bajo de radiación. La mayoría de los expertos consideran que los riesgos son muy bajos comparados con los beneficios de diagnosticar la osteoporosis antes de que usted se fracture un hueso.

Consideraciones especiales:

Las gammagrafías simples para medir la densidad ósea utilizando aparatos portátiles pueden estar disponibles como parte de exámenes colectivos o ferias de la salud.
