Picadura de garrapata

Definición:

Las garrapatas son criaturas pequeñas que parecen insectos y viven en los bosques y en los campos. Atacan a las personas y sus mascotas cuando se pasa junto a arbustos, plantas y pasto. Una vez que están sobre la persona, las garrapatas generalmente se trasladan a áreas del cuerpo cálidas y húmedas como las axilas, las ingles o el cuero cabelludo. En ese momento es cuando normalmente se adhieren con fuerza a la piel y comienzan a succionar la sangre.

Las garrapatas suelen ser bastante grandes (del tamaño de un borrador de lápiz) o tan pequeñas que es casi imposible verlas. Son capaces de transmitir una variedad de condiciones que van desde inofensivas hasta graves.
